Show Dates are Friday June 25th through Saturday June 26th.
The Paris Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 13th Annual Mt. Magazine International Butterfly Festival on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, 27th.
Mt. Magazine is a beautiful backdrop for the festivities held on the Paris town square and the State Park has an extraordinary abundance of butterfly species which includes the nation’s “showcase butterfly”, the Diana fritillary, Arkansas’s State Butterfly.
Events are scheduled beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday for both the downtown area of Paris and at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Magazine State Park , 19 miles south of Paris on Hwy 309. Saturday morning will begin with a Butterfly Parade at 9:00 a.m. with opening events on the square to follow to include: vendor and concession booths, art show, quilt show, photo contest, live entertainment, children’s activities, butterfly conservatory and the Butterfly Pageant. Events hosted by Mt. Magazine State Park and will include: butterfly programs, nature walks and the popular “Bug Bonanza.” Below are an Application and the Guidelines if you would like to join us for the festival.
