Photography Contest and Exhibit
This contest was designed to highlight and exhibit the work of amateur photographers.
RULES and REGULATIONS
- Age Categories: Youth 5-18 and Adult.
- First, second and third place will be given in each category.
- Photos are open to any location. Need not be taken in Logan County.
- Photos must have been taken by the person entering the picture.
- All Photos must be mounted on foam board. No collages.
- All Photos must be 8x10. No mats or frames.
- Photo maximum: The maximum photo's allowed is three per person.
- Photo must pertain to nature, i.e. flowers, wildlife, butterfiles, landcapes, insects, or Historical Buildings in Logan County.
- May have people, but only in secondary roles. No domesticated animals.
- Photo's must have name, address, phone number, age and location of photograph on the back of the foam board.
- Photos must be new to the contest. If the photos were entered into this contest previously, they are not eligible to be entered again.
ENTRIES
- Accepted. Photos must be delivered or mailed the the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce Office no later than Friday, June 18th. The Chamber of Commerce office is open between the hours of 8:30am to 5pm Monday - Friday. Submission of the photograph must adhere to the guidelines in the document available below.
- Entrants may pick up their photos at the Community Center Saturday, June 26th from 4 to 5 pm. or at the Chamber Office the week of June 28 - July 2 between 8:30am to 5pm. The Chamber will not mail back any photos unless accompanied with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
AWARDS
- Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place in each category.
- 1st Place - $50 Bedford Gift Card
- 2nd Place - $40 Bedford Digital Print Card
- 3rd Place - $25 Bedford Gift Certificate
- One Photography Best of Show determined by the judges will include all photos (adult & youth) and receive $100 cash prize.
- A People's Choice Award for Adults determined by public voting: $50
- A People's Choice Award for Youth determined by public voting: $50
Professional Photographers
- Professional Photographers are not eligible to enter the contest, but will be allowed to exhibit photographs, space permitting. Photography committee makes final exhibiting decision.
- A professional photographer is defined as anyone who has sold his or her photograph within the last 12 months.
